Standards on information, bibliography, publishing and librarianship

SSILP combines general technical, organizational and methodological standards, which regulate rules of presentation of data, descriptions of the documents, operation of library funds, registration of printed and electronic publications, and others. SSILIP is interstate, it is approved and used by CIS jointly (it has a form of GOST).

1. Communication format RUSMARC
Recommendations for filling bibliographic records in bibliographic databases for a purpose of their compliance to rules of bibliographic descriptions, indexing techniques, rules of filling and field selection

2. Communication format MARC21
MARC21 is complex of specific formats for recording bibliographic, authoritative data and classificatory data, data of funds, and public information. Translation of MARC21 from English is performed for bibliographic data by creative team of Russian State Library and Russian National Public Library for Science and Technology
