The Digital Library was established on September 7, 2007, following the development of the promising activity on creating the information system that provides improved quality of services to support educational and research processes at TSU.
 

Main activities

• Organizing and supporting the Digital Library (repository) of TSU and the Pro Sibir platform;
• Digitizing (converting analog information into digital format);
• Organizing  backup storage of digital documents stored in the Digital Library (repository) of TSU and on the Pro Sibir platform;
• Promoting the content of the Digital Library (repository).

The main sources of acquiring new items for the Digital Library (repository) of TSU are: digitizing the documents from the stock of the Research Library and TSU departments, legitimate borrowing from external databases, gaining print-ready files from the TSU Publishing House, authors, third-party organizations and individuals.

To digitize the documents, the Department uses modern systems of automatic (ELARobot R-2) and high-quality scanning (ELAR PowerScan K625 A-1).

• Conducting individual consultations on uploading and searching documents in the Digital Library (repository) of TSU.
